Eerie night vision shows man sought by police for questioning as they investigate the attempted sexual assault of a woman in the early hours of the morning

Police released CCTV of a man running on a street at night in a popular beachside suburb who they wish to question in relation to an alleged attempted sexual assault on a woman.

The woman was allegedly approached when she was on Mitchell Street in Bondi at 3.40am on Friday. 

Police released footage of a bearded, muscular man who may be able to assist officers with their investigation.

The black and white footage showed the tall man sporting a torch around his waist bending over to fix his socks in the street. 

He then turns around and starts running along the pathway, passing a small truck and a GoGet van parked on the road. 

Authorities said the man in the video was wearing denim shorts and a white short-sleeved polo shirt. 

‘He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 30 years old, approximately 175cm tall, of muscular build, with dark hair, dark eyes and a short beard,’ NSW police said in a statement.
