  • Magnitude 3.3 earthquake struck Victoria

A magnitude 3.3 earthquake has struck regional Victoria.

The earthquake was recorded by Geoscience Australia near Traralgon in the Latrobe Valley, regional Victoria, at 12.15pm on Tuesday.

It struck at a ‘very shallow depth’ about 1km under the surface and could have been felt about 35km away from the epicentre.

However it was too weak to have been felt in large towns further away from the epicentre such as Traralgon and Warragul.
