- New probe has found that prime suspect in Madeleine case has an alibi
- Christian B was not at resort on night she disappeared but ’30 minutes away’
- Television programme Madeleine McCann: Investigating the Prime Suspect expected to dismantle case against him
- Witnesses were found in Portugal and Germany who cast doubt on B’s guilt in case
British investigators have found that the prime suspect in Madeleine McCann‘s disappearance Christian B has an alibi and the case is set to crumble.
They have discovered that the prime suspect, 44, was not at the resort in Praia da Luz the night she disappeared and was actually ’30 minutes away.’
It is expected that their television programme Madeleine McCann: Investigating the Prime Suspect, will dismantle the case against B, who is in German jail and authorities there have said he killed her.
When she vanished aged three in 2007, phone records were said to show the prime suspect near the scene, the Sun reported.
British investigators have discovered that the prime suspect, 44, was not at the resort in Praia da Luz the night Madeleine (pictured) disappeared and was actually ’30 minutes away’
However, the new investigation has revealed that an alibi for B ‘stacks up.’
The probe was led by former Surrey Police detective Mark Williams-Thomas.
New witnesses were found by the television team, who spent months in Portugal and Germany.
The witnesses in both countries cast doubt on the suspect’s guilt.
A source told the Sun: ‘They have concluded B could not have snatched Madeleine. He was 30 minutes away and was not on the phone in Praia da Luz the night she vanished.’
The new three-part show will air on Channel 5 soon.
