Kyle Rittenhouse has taken to social media to plead for his followers to attend his censorship rally as he breaks his silence following a row with a former venue.
The acquitted Kenosha killer, 20, broke his silence on Tuesday after Southern Star Brewing in Conroe, Texas, and Venetian Resort in Las Vegas canceled the censorship event at their venues.
Rittenhouse, who in August 2020 shot and killed two Black Lives Matter protesters when he was 17-years-old, claimed the two companies ‘bent to the woke mob’ by choosing to cancel the event.
The January 26 event will now be held at the Lone Star Convention Center on the Montgomery County Fairgrounds.
‘Hey guys, don’t forget to mark your calendars for January 26th, it’s coming up this week. This week we’ll be doing an event in Conroe, talking about censorship,’ he said in a video posted by the event organizer Defiance Press & Publishing LLC‘s Facebook page.
‘It’s going to be great, I’m super excited,’ he said while wearing a ‘Take Back America’ t-shirt.

Rittenhouse will be speaking at the event, alongside a former Navy Seal, authors, journalists, and attorneys, among others.
The organizers said they were ‘excited to welcome Kyle Rittenhouse to Conroe for a massive anti-censorship rally,’ according to The Sun.
The event has certainly not started off on the easiest foot, after Southern Star Brewing announced on January 13 that it would no longer be sponsoring the event, writing on Twitter: ‘No more. Southern Star Brewery is an apolitical organization, but we feel that this event doesn’t reflect our own values and we could not in good faith continue to rent our space for the event on 1/26.
‘We don’t do rallies, we make beer for people who like beer.’
Rittenhouse retaliated by saying on the America First podcast that ‘I tried to promote it to get people to come and hear about censorship and the Second Amendment – and they didn’t like that they bent to the woke mob and said we’re cancelling this event.
‘They said they are apolitical, but after doing a dive into their social media, they’ve hosted Pride parades, they’ve had political events there. It’s just because of my name and they’re just being unfair and biased,’ he said on the podcast.
Following the cancellation, the brewery said it had been deluged with harassment and some threats.
‘It’s been kind of a s***storm,’ Southern Star Brewery CEO Dave Fougeron told KBTX. ‘But now I’m more certain than ever that I made the right decision.’
Fougeron said the abuse levelled at the brewery was unwarranted as it prided itself of being welcoming to all.
It is the first time Rittenhouse has spoken out since criticizing Southern Star Brewery (pictured) for canceling the event at their establishment. Rittenhouse claimed the company canceled because it caved to the ‘woke mob’
It released two statements earlier this month announcing the cancelations and responding to Rittenhouse’s theories that it caved under pressure. ‘We also would like to clarify that this decision was our alone…’ it wrote
‘Our place is super inclusive,’ he said. ‘We are super pro-veteran, super pro-law enforcement. We’re trying to be good people in the community.
‘We’re friends with our firefighters, with our police department…. We have a lot of gay patrons who come in because it’s a place of inclusivity. It’s crazy that we’re getting threats from people.’
In a second statement posted to Twitter, the company wrote: ‘We also would like to clarify that this decision was ours alone and we fully stand by it. No retailers or other outside force pressured us to make this decision.
‘We just want to make beer for all.’
The event will now be at the Lone Star Convention Center (pictured) at the fairgrounds
In November of 2021, Rittenhouse was acquitted on murder charges related to the deaths of Joseph Rosenbaum of Kenosha and Anthony Huber of Silver Lake. The shooting occurred amid nights of violent protests in the city following the non-fatal shooting by police of black domestic abuser Jacob Blake.
The teenager had also been charged with shooting Gaige Grosskreutz.
After being found not guilty by a jury, Rittenhouse became a celebrity among the political right as a Second Amendment advocate.
Rittenhouse was invited on right-leaning television programs and stations, and even had the chance to meet former President Donald Trump.
