Kanye West is being investigated for criminal battery after being accused of punching a fan who asked for his autograph early Thursday morning.

The 44-year-old rapper, who also goes by the name Ye, allegedly got into an argument with the fan around 3 a.m. outside the Soho Warehouse, a members-only club, in Downtown Los Angeles, FOX 11 reported.

The fan approached West, who was sitting in his SUV outside the club, asked for his autograph, which reportedly led to a heated exchange.

The argument then turned physical and West allegedly punched the fan, knocking him to the ground.

He was not at the scene when authorities arrived, FOX 11 reported.

Kanye West and girlfriend Julia Fox (pictured) were seen at Delilah nightclub in West Hollywood earlier in the evening prior to the alleged altercation with a fan that happened around 3 a.m. Thursday outside Soho Warehouse in Los Angeles.

Earlier in the evening, West had been at Delilah nightclub in West Hollywood with Julia Fox, TMZ reported. He left while she remained at the club.

A video obtained by TMZ that was reportedly taken by a bystander around the same time of the incident, shows an apparent irate West, who is heard yelling, ‘Did y’all say that or not? Did y’all say that or not? Cause that’s what happened right f–king now.’

No arrests have been made and LAPD is investigating the case, a police spokesperson confirmed.

The investigation comes less than 24 hours after West was named one of the headlining acts for this year’s Coachella music festival, alongside Billie Eilish and Harry Styles.

The rapper has not publicly commented on the incident.
