Junior doctors vote by 98 per cent to continue strike action for another six months in long-running pay dispute

Junior doctors in England have voted by 98% to continue taking industrial action for a further six months in their long-running pay dispute. 

Staff voted to extend their mandate for industrial action following that ballot which saw a turnout of 61.86 per cent, the British Medical Association announced this afternoon. 

Of 34,601 votes cast, 33,869 said they were prepared to take part in continued strike action, while only 702 voted against.
