  • The 72-year-old Senate leader posed for photos with the Uncut Gems actress, 33, who last month denied using meds to lose weight while dating Kanye West
  • Other high-profile guests included Kelly Ripa, CNN’s Wolf Blitzer, Chief Justice John Roberts, Game of Thrones’ Lena Headey and Parks and Rec’s Billy Eichner
  • Also seen arriving was headliner Daily Show correspondent Roy Wood Jr., who recently said that his goal as host is to simply walk away still with a job

Chuck Schumer and actress Julia Fox were among some of the early arrivals for Saturday’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner – with the unlikely pair raising some eyebrows as they made their way down the red carpet side by side.

Clad in a tuxedo for the black-tie event, the 72-year-old Senate leader posed for multiple photos with the Uncut Gems actress, who last month vehemently denied using diabetes meds to lose weight during an ill-fated fling with rapper Kanye West.

Known for daring, sometimes atypical fashion choices, the 33-year-old model elected for a less traditional getup – donning some dramatic face makeup and a black, leather ensemble that would make both Beetlejuice and Kiss proud.

Also seen arriving was headliner Daily Show correspondent Roy Wood Jr., who recently said that his goal as host is simply to walk away still with a job. Other high-profile attendees seen piling into the Washington Hilton included Kelly Ripa and Game of Thrones’s Lena Headey.

All dressed to the nines, the amalgam of stars and politicians managed to circumvent a boisterous group of climate activists who formed a blockade outside, promising to prohibit entry.

Schumer was among several who arrived early for the anticipated event – where the president is poised to speak – and is seen offering two thumbs up to the cameras after posing with Fox

CNN’s Wolf Blitzer and and Parks and Rec star Billy Eichner were also among those in attendance before the dinner was underway

Others seen mingling outside the Washington Hilton’s hallowed auditorium included CNN’s Wolf Blitzer, Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts, and Parks and Rec’s Billy Eichner, with President Biden poised to arriving within the hour as well.

The youth-led group posed up outside previously posted a video accusing the president of committing ‘ecocide’ – a term used to describe the destruction of the environment by deliberate or negligent action.

It has held a series of non-violent protests in preparation for the dinner, with the current procession seen outside the hotel serving as the culmination of their efforts.

That said, the chaos outside did little to deter the festivities seen inside the Hilton roughly an hour before the dinner is set to be underway.

Kaitlan Collins, previously Don Lemon’s co-anchor on This Morning before his ouster last week, also stopped to pose for the camera, dressed in a tasteful black number.

Aside from the array of film and TV stars, Supreme Court Justice John Roberts (left) was also seen arriving, and was among several to stop to pose for pictures. Meanwhile, Fox, known for daring, sometimes atypical fashion choices, elected for a less traditional getup –  one that would make both Beetlejuice and Kiss proud
