- Fellow host said the presenter would talk about the experience ‘when he wants’
ITV News’ Rageh Omaar is ‘doing really well’ after falling ill during a live broadcast last month, colleague Charlene White has revealed.
Viewers were left shocked after the presenter was seen slurring his words as he introduced the last news item on the News at 10 bulletin, and his left eye appeared to start drooping, causing many to fear he was unwell.
Viewers were reportedly so terrified that a stroke nurse rang ITV to say he needed immediate medical help, which he received following the incident.
Now fellow host White has issued an update on her colleague’s condition, adding that the presenter would talk about the experience when he has recovered.
Speaking at the BAFTA TV Awards last night, the ITV News and Loose Women star told The Sun: ‘Rageh is doing really well. I think when he wants to talk about what happened then he will.
‘ITV News is a family, we have been checking up on him daily and continuously in fact to make sure he has the support he needs.’
