Ghana international Inaki Williams came off the bench to score in Athletic Club’s 2-0 away win over Leganes in a Spanish La Liga match on Thursday.
Despite being named in the matchday squad, the Black Stars striker started on the bench.
With the game tied at 0-0, Williams was introduced in the 56th minute, replacing Alvaro Djalo. His impact was immediate as Athletic Club broke the deadlock just 10 minutes later, with Dani Vivian converting a pass from Gorka Guruzeta to put the visitors ahead.
In the 75th minute, Inaki Williams made his mark, receiving an assist from Andoni Gorosabel and slotting the ball into the Leganes net to double Athletic Club’s lead and secure all three points.
