Ghanaian musician, Kweku Darlington, has opened up about the severe health condition that kept him away from the music scene for an extended period.
In an interview on Joy Prime’s Prime Morning show, the artist shared the terrifying experience he faced, describing it as a spiritual attack that left him bedridden and isolated.
Kweku Darlington revealed that the illness, which initially seemed minor, escalated to the point where he could neither move nor leave his house.
“I couldn’t even go out. It was so bad that I still have some of the marks on my skin,” he told host Roselyn Felli.
The musician explained that the condition affected his entire body, leaving him feeling trapped. “In a nutshell, I was buried with only my head out,” he added.
The artist recalled that despite visiting various medical and herbal centers, doctors and herbalists were unable to diagnose his condition.
“They did everything they could, gave me drugs, injections, and spectacles, but nothing worked,” Kweku Darlington said, noting that medical treatments proved ineffective in addressing his deteriorating health.
It was only after seeking spiritual intervention that the cause of his ailment was discovered. Kweku Darlington recounted how a congregation at the Atwea Mountains, where he had previously worshipped, identified the illness as spiritual.
“After identifying it, we had to clear all of them before I could take drugs,” he explained, attributing his healing to a combination of prayer and spiritual cleansing.
The musician revealed that the illness began shortly after a falling out with friends, some of whom he believes may have turned into enemies.
However, he dismissed the argument as something minor, expressing disbelief that it could have triggered such a severe spiritual attack. “It wasn’t a serious misunderstanding, just a normal argument,” he said.
