Horror as a four-year-old boy dies after a car rolls near Adelaide – with two other children rushed to hospital in a serious condition

A four-year-old boy has tragically died after a car rolled on a road north of Adelaide

The little boy had been travelling in a gold Holden sedan when it rolled on Gammon Ranges Road at Copley near Leigh Creek on Tuesday night. 

The female driver, 44, a nine-year-old boy and a 10-year-old girl were treated at the scene and flown to Adelaide in a serious condition. 

Officers arrived on the scene just after 8pm after a passing motorist spotted the upturned vehicle and contacted police.

Major Crash officers will attend the scene on Wednesday morning and continue investigations into the cause of the crash. 

Police said Gammon Ranges Road is expected to remain closed for most of the day.  

The four-year-old’s death marks the 38th life lost on South Australian roads this year, compared to 51 for this time the year previous. 

Investigators have asked anyone who may have information about the crash to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
