Hawa Koomson hands over church hall to Kasoa Bethel Methodist Church

The Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya East and Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture Development, Madam Mavis Hawa Koomson has built and handed over a big church hall for the Kasoa Bethel Methodist Church here in Kasoa.

The gesture is in line with her commitment to give back to the church the good things God has bestowed upon her.

Speaking at church service for the dedication of the church hall, the Presiding Bishop of Methodist Church Ghana, Most Rev. Dr Paul Boafo said, they gathered to celebrate God for the life of Madam Koomson and the goodness he has shown her.

The Presiding Bishop explained that God had a purpose for the people of Ghana that was why He elevated Madam Hawa to make the purpose of God materialise among the living.

Referencing the Holy Bible in Exodus 3:1-15, the Presiding Bishop said God had purpose for the Israelites and He needed someone as a vessel for the purpose hence the call for Moses.

“It is in this vein that God is using Madam Koomson as a vessel to achieve his purpose for the people of Ghana because God has seen something good in her. God calls us for a purpose and that purpose is not for ourselves”, he said.

Touching on the Fisheries Ministry, he charged the MP to ask God the best decision that would inure to the benefits of the players in the fisheries industry especially the fisher folks.

As part of the ceremony, the church honoured the Minister of Fisheries for exhibiting dedication, hard work, love and kindness towards the people.
