Grangefields motorbike crash: Two teenagers killed, children injured after accident in West Melbourne

Two teenagers have been killed, and two children are in hospital following a horror crash with off-road motorbikes.

At least two motorbikes and a quad bike were involved in the collision on Beattys Rd in Grangefields, in Melbourne’s northwest, at about 6.35 pm on Sunday.

An 18-year-old Altona Meadows woman died at the scene, while a 17-year-old Hoppers Crossing boy was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. He later died in hospital.

Two young boys, aged 11 and 6, were rushed to hospital due to the severity of their injuries and are fighting for life.

A man, 43, from Altona Meadows, was also hospitalised, but his injuries were not life-threatening.

The Major Collision Investigation Unit is investigating the incident.

‘The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be established, and police are appealing for assistance as the investigation continues,’ police said.

Police are appealing to any witnesses who may have captured footage of the incident.
