An police officer has been rushed to hospital after being injured as authorities carried out a siege at a unit following reports of domestic violence.
The officer received lacerations to the back of his head from a knife during the police siege at an apartment on Punt Road, Gladesville about 11.20am on Tuesday morning.
Police were responding to reports of a domestic violence incident, a NSW Police spokesman said.
Negotiators were still on the scene as of 12pm.
