Ghana interim coach Otto Addo has replaced injured Bristol City forward Antoine Semenyo with Germany-based forward Okyere Kwasi Wriedt for the Black Stars’ all-important 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying double-header against Nigeria.
The 27-year-old forward has netted just once in 8 games for his club – Holstein Kiel – in the German Bundesliga II this season.
Addo had to make the decision following the injury to Bristol City forward Antoine Semenyo whose manager at the club level confirmed his invitation for the game.
The ex-Bayern Munich forward is not new to the Black Stars having earned call-ups in 2018.
