‘FJB’: Country music fans at Jason Aladean concert chant ‘F**k Joe Biden’

The phrase Let’s Go Brandon was sparked after NBC reporter Kelli Stavast mistook chants of ‘F*** Joe Biden’ at a NASCAR rally with winner Brandon Brown in September for the more benign phrase, and it has since become a running joke among Biden critics, used as shorthand to mock the president.

The chant’s popularity comes as the president’s approval ratings dipped following the chaotic evacuation from Afghanistan and his controversial vaccine mandate for federal workers.

It also shows the level of anti-Biden sentiment growing in the US, where it has recently been used and filmed in different settings, including sports arenas and concerts to commercial flights and protests.

Here are three recent locations where the FJB or Let’s Go Brandon chants have been used:

1. Professional baseball and college football games

The F*** Joe Biden shouts echoed throughout stadiums in September during college football games played by Coastal Carolina, Virginia Tech, Auburn, Alabama State, Mississippi State, North Carolina State and Texas A&M.

Twitter users pointed out that the protest chant – with the simple lyrics ‘f*** Joe Biden’ sung between claps – are mostly from colleges in states that Donald Trump won in the 2020 election.

The chants were heard at games for various Southern universities, including Coastal Carolina and Texas A&M (above), which played against the University of Colorado-Boulder on Saturday

The chants were also heard at the Auburn and Alabama State game on Saturday. Above, Auburn fans use body paint to honor the 20th anniversary of the September 11 attacks

Donald Trump Jr. attributed the derogatory protest on everything from Biden’s chaotic Afghanistan withdrawal to the new vaccine rules and rising inflation as the economy recovers from COVID-19 shutdowns.

‘Honestly, it’s gotten so bad that the media can’t run cover for him anymore,’ Trump Jr. told David Hookstead of the Daily Caller in September.

The chant managed to even spread to professional sports, uniting Yankees and Mets fans after a game in New York on September 11th. Video from that day shows fans of both teams singing the words as they leave Citi Field in Queens.

2. On board commercial flights

A day ago, a Southwest Airlines pilot reportedly told passengers ‘Let’s Go Brandon’ as he signed off on a flight from Houston, Texas to Albuquerque, New Mexico.

The pilot, whose name has not been released, was seen on TikTok video apparently telling the passengers about the weather outside as they landed.

‘We’re heading east at about 107 or 108mph,’ the pilot, whose face is pixelated in the video, says. ‘Clear visibility, mostly clear skies, about 77 degrees.’

Thanks for coming out, flying Southwest Airlines, welcome home and let’s go Brandon.’

Pilots were also reportedly heard repeating the message on their radios throughout the day, even as someone warned ‘Southwest has a hot mic,’ according to audio posted online.

In a statement to DailyMail.com, a spokesperson for the airlines said: ‘The Southwest Team takes pride in providing a welcoming, comfortable, and respectful environment for the millions of customers who fly with the airline each year and behavior from any individual that is divisive or offensive is not condoned.’

They would not speak about the specific incident.

3. NASCAR Talladega Superspeedway

NASCAR fans screamed ‘F**k Joe Biden!’ in unison as the winner of Alabama’s Talladega Superspeedway race gave an interview about his victory earlier this month.

Shortly after Branson Brown gave his post-Xfinity Series race interview, telling reporter Kelli Stavast his victory was a ‘dream come true,’ crowds in the stands began to loudly shout in unison, ‘F**k Joe Biden.

Stavast, who was conducting the interview, recognized the chants and claimed fans were shouting ‘Let’s go Brandon!’

NASCAR originally posted a video of the interview on Twitter, including the chant, but later deleted the post.
