Police were originally called to the scene on a report of harassment. When they got to the home, they found two women’s bodies lying in the front of the house near the door, and a man’s body in the living room.

The eight-year-old child was taken to the hospital where they later died of their injuries.

In total, ten people were in the house at the time.

Two adult women were found hiding in a bedroom with two other children, all of whom survived.

SWAT teams were called to the scene to try to locate the gunman, but he had already fled the country

All of the victims were from Honduras, according to police.

The gunman, who has not yet been publicly named, was said to be intoxicated at the time. He has since fled the country.

Police described him as a Mexican man who is around 5ft 8.

When police arrived in the home, they found two women lying ‘over the top’ of two children in the bedroom. They survived.

The motive for the shooting remains unclear.

In a Facebook statement, the San Jacinto Sheriff’s Office said: ‘Night shift patrol deputies were dispatched to a residence in reference to an harassment complaint.

‘While en route, the communications center received multiple 911 calls of an active shooter incident at the dispatch location.

‘Multiple deputies arrived at the residence and located multiple victims deceased in a resident and several others in critical condition from multiple gunshot wounds.’

Four adults died at the house, while the eight-year-old died in the hospital.

According to police, the gunman is known to shoot his rifle in the front yard.

None of the victims have been named.

Police were first alerted to the scene by a 911 call reporting harassment.

By the time officers arrived, the gunman had fled the country.

A warrant has been issued for his arrest with a $5million bond attached.
