Father of Baby P breaks silence over Tracey Connelly after the tragic toddler’s mother who allowed her son to be tortured to death is recalled to prison after just two years

The father of Baby P has broken his silence after twisted mother Tracey Connelly, who stood by and allowed their son to be tortured by her lover and his brother, has been recalled to prison once again.

Tracey Connelly, 42, has been recalled to prison after breaching her licence conditions for a second time while serving an indefinite sentence for allowing the death of her 17-month-old son, Baby P, at home in north London in 2007.

Peter’s short life ended with him being found dead in a blood-stained cot, having endured over 50 injuries including a broken back and fractured ribs, in a case that rocked the nation.

This was not only because Connelly stood by and allowed the abuse, but because of the countless opportunities missed to save his life.

The tot was on Haringey Council’s at risk-register, having received 60 visits from social workers, police officers, and health professionals in an eight-month period.

After Connelly was placed back behind bars only two years – following her controversial release in 2022 – Baby P’s father has spoken out, saying the evil mother other ‘can go to hell’.

Today, he told The Mirror: ‘I was obviously happy that she had gone back to prison.

‘They informed us that she was back inside, but they didn’t tell us why. We don’t know how long it will be for either, but it must be pretty serious.

‘To be honest, I just don’t care about her; when I hear that something has happened I just shrug. She can go to hell for what she did so far as I am concerned. She is nothing to do with me now.’

The 60-year-old, who is being treated at hospital for long-term health issues at this time, divulged that he tries to forget the evil acts his son had to endure, adding that he would ‘never forgive’ Connelly.

‘Obviously it never gets easier. I go up to Peter’s grave whenever I can, to remember him. It will never go away. That’s why I can never forgive her, and I never will,’ he said.

The tragic toddler’s mother was released in 2013 but was recalled to prison two years later after cashing in on her notoriety with twisted male fans by selling naked photos of herself online.

Connelly was put back behind bars for breaching the conditions of her parole that forbade her from ‘developing intimate personal relationships’ on the internet.

She was then released in July 2022 and subject to 20 licence conditions, including having to wear an electronic tag and disclose all her relationships, as well as having her Internet use monitored.

She was also forced to obey a curfew, and was banned from going to certain places to ‘avoid contact with victims and to protect children’.

The Parole Board had said at the time that she had been cleared for release due to a low risk of reoffending and that probation officers and prison officials supported the plan.

At the time, Justice Secretary Dominic Raab branded her actions as ‘pure evil’ and said the Parole Board ‘need[ed] a fundamental overhaul’ following the conclusion.

The exact circumstances of her recall to prison are not yet known.

A HM Prison and Probation Service spokesperson told MailOnline: ‘Offenders released on licence are subject to strict conditions and we do not hesitate to recall them to prison if they break the rules.’

As she is serving an indefinite sentence, it will be a matter for the Parole Board to decide if she is ever released again.

Connelly’s lover Steven Barker was jailed in 2009 for a minimum of 12 years for torturing the 17-month-old to death while his brother, Jason Owen, received a six year jail sentence for allowing the toddler to die.

Upon her release in July 2022, Connelly was moved from HM Prison Low Newton in County Durham to a bail hostel in a secret location to begin her life anew.

An onlooker told MailOnline at the time: ‘What she did is despicable. There are no words for that.

‘There’s no way that she should be out and about living life as normal after what she did. I believe in rehabilitation for offenders but not for what she did.’

She is later reported to have befriended child killer Helen Cauldwell, who throttled her own daughter to death with a Piglet toy, at the halfway house in the north of England.

By the time of her release in 2022, Connelly is said to have ballooned to 20 stone prompting her to join a slimming club and reinvent herself as a fat-fighting reality TV fan on a WeightWatchers forum.

Steven Barker (Pictured) is currently behind bars for Baby P’s death as well as raping a two-year-old girl. However it has been rumoured he would make a new bid for parole

Jason Owen (Pictured) – Barker’s older brother – has reportedly been given a new identity after being released from prison a second time

She duped fellow slimmers who praised her weight loss journey without knowing her true identity.

The MailOnline can exclusively reveal Connelly has been posing as ‘Connie’ on the official app for the last nine months.

She had been using the forum to make friends as she chartered her personal weight loss journey after ballooning to 20 stone – without ever revealing her dark past.

She posted numerous pictures of herself at the gym, reading birthday cards as she held aloft a bottles of Prosecco and enjoying fry-ups.

She also gave others an insight into her humdrum lifestyle, like how she watched reality TV show Married At First Sight as well as the challenges of living with her cat, Odin.

In a post six weeks ago, Connelly boasted about losing 5lbs since July 5 and said: ‘The only real changes I have made is switching my normal 2 lattes to 2 Americanos and adding more fruit and vegetables to my food, yes I’m working on portion but that is a slow process for me.

‘Other things I have done is stop eating wholemeal bread, the reason for this is because it is too light for me so I end up having 2 sandwiches to feel even remotely satisfied.’

Connelly is understood to have relocated to the North-West. Photographs posted on her WeightWatchers page just after her birthday show her reading cards and enjoying a mimosa cocktail in a spacious, modern well-decorated home.

In one photo she grins as she holds aloft a card which reads: ‘Happy Birthday from one fabulous b**** to another’.

But a woman who learned her real identity posted a message on the app to reveal who Connelly really is.

She said: ‘I’ve decided to be honest with you guys. I’ve been concerned about sharing what’s happened to me as it will shock and upset people.

Posting under the name ‘Connie’, Baby P’s mother Tracey Connelly shared photos of herself in the gym as she detailed her attempts to lose weight, duped other slimmers

Friends on the app even wished her happy birthday – clueless as to her true identity as a baby killer who caused or allowed her son’s death

‘But in all good conscience I think it’s something you all deserve to know to protect yourselves in future.

‘The woman we knew as Connie was actually someone else. She had been in prison for 13 years and had been given a new identity. She breached her parole restrictions and was re-incarcerated.

‘I was completely unaware, like the rest of you who she was until this happened. Her name is Tracey Connelly – the mother of Baby P. Please Google. It’s horrifying, upsetting and scary.

‘I’m in shock, we’ve been manipulated by an expert I’m afraid. Don’t know what else to say, it’s like I’m in a nightmare.’

There is no suggestion of wrongdoing on the part of WW, the operators of WeightWatchers.

A WeightWatchers spokesperson said: ‘We are aware of the situation and have since taken the appropriate actions to remove the member not only from Connect, but from our Programme entirely.

‘The safety and privacy of our member community is our top priority and we will continuously work to review our guidelines and practices to ensure a positive and secure environment for all.’
