Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren cracked a lewd joke in a dig at J.D. Vance and received a rockstar welcome on Day Four of the Democratic National Convention.
The progressive darling of the Democratic party entered the United Arena Thursday evening to thunderous applause.
The 75-year-old dressed in blue attempted to hold back tears as she looked out over the audience roaring its approval. She put her hand over her mouth visibly shaken. The cheering stretched on for several moments before she was able to begin.
‘You know what I love best about Kamala Harris? Kamala Harris can’t be bought—and she can’t be bossed around,’ Warren began.

She spoke of first meeting the vice president during the aftermath of the 2008 financial crisis and praised her work as California‘s Attorney General and as a senator before turning her wrath on her GOP political opponent Donald Trump and his running mate.
‘Trust Donald Trump and JD Vance to look out for your family? Shoot, I wouldn’t trust those guys to move my couch,’ Warren said as the crowd went wild.
It was one of multiple couch references made during the conventions as Democrats made lewd jokes in a dig at Vance.
The couch jokes started after a crude social media post was made about the Ohio senator citing his book ‘Hillbilly Elegy.’ The post was completely false, but the jokes have stuck.
Warren was not the only one to bring up couches as the crowd laughed at the convention Thursday night. Just moments later, another speaker also dropped a couch joke.
Harris’ running mate Tim Walz joked about the couch in his debut on the campaign trail in Philadelphia just over two weeks ago.

Warren has become a fierce advocate for the vice president, who was her former colleague in the Senate and her onetime political opponent as both women ran for president in 2020 before President Biden locked in the nomination.
‘You know what else I love about Kamala? She gets it. We need to make life more affordable for working people,’ the progressive senator said.
‘Donald Trump, the felon, has no plan to lower costs for families. He doesn’t know how—and frankly, he doesn’t really care,’ she slammed the GOP presidential nominee.
Senator Warren served with Harris in the Senate. She praised her work as Attorney General of California and as they worked together in Washington to address the coronavirus pandemic

The Massachusetts senator is set to hit the campaign trail for Harris early next week with a series of stops across the battleground state of Wisconsin on Monday and Tuesday.
In her address Thursday night, Warren said ‘we need Kamala Harris’ and called her ‘someone we can trust.’
She was one of several Democratic senators to speak on Thursday night at the DNC.
