Dr. Sam Ankrah calls on Cheddar for national debate

The leader of the Alternative Force for Action (AFA) and independent presidential aspirant, Dr. Sam Ankrah, has challenged Nana Kwame Bediako, the founder of the New Force, to engage him in a national debate on governance.

Dr. Ankrah, who believes Kwame Bediako’s campaign messages and antics are cloaked in deception, wants to engage him in a debate on real policies that can turn the fortunes of the nation around.

“If he believes he can do better, he should step out with me in just a one-hour debate on policies and structures that can take Ghana from the mess the NPP and NDC governments have plunged Ghana into, and I promise you he won’t even last 10 minutes in the debate. I know I’ve got what it takes to make Ghana a better country,” he told myjoyonline.com.

Dr. Ankrah further expressed his dissatisfaction about allusions made by Nana Kwame Bediako (popularly known as Cheddar), on Peace FM, regarding allegations that he [Dr. Sam Ankrah] had misappropriated his ‘Man in the Mask’ campaign.

When asked about his opinion on rumors that somebody had claimed to be the ‘Man in the Mask,’ Kwame Bediako said, “up to now, I don’t understand. I believe the person needed attention and glory. However, if New Force has done all this and someone wants to own the credit, we leave it to God.”

In November 2023, Dr. Sam Ankrah was maligned by some people following the launch of his ‘No Masked Promises’ campaign, which featured a similar mask as used in the ‘Man in the Mask’ campaign.

The originators of the ‘Man in the Mask’ campaign accused him of using their intellectual property and hijacking their campaign to push his personal agenda.

Dr. Ankrah, after listening to Kwame Bediako’s comments on Peace FM, reiterated his position on the matter.

The independent presidential aspirant has advised Cheddar to spend his time clearly explaining his policies to Ghanaians since he believes people are having a hard time understanding him and his goals for the nation.

“You can’t be trying to convince Ghanaians that you can run this nation, yet lie about people you know who have better ideas and policies than you do.

In any event, I haven’t disclosed that I am the man behind the mask anywhere. I have made it very evident in all of the interviews I have given that I am not the man behind the mask,” he stated.

According to him, Nana Kwame Bediako’s attitude reeks of deception.

“Here’s a gentleman who claimed he attended Accra Academy, which is not true. Here is a gentleman who is brandishing Prof. Kwame Addo’s visions of Ghana maps as the originator. Here is someone who claims he was driving a $15 million USD car in Kumasi on the occasion of the grand Akwasidae.”

The leader of the AFA Movement added that nothing Cheddar does can stop him from doing his work to ensure that Ghanaians grant him the mandate to take Ghana to the next level of development.

He further noted that his priorities include promoting worker unity and patriotism as well as investing in human resources to advance Ghana.
