Dr Kerry Chant issues a tough New Year’s Eve warning to Sydney ahead of celebrations as the state records another huge surge in Covid cases
NSW‘s top doctor has called on Sydneysiders not to party and stay home if they are experiencing any Covid symptoms after the state recorded 21,151 new cases of COVID-19.
‘Even though it may be that one-off event where you’ve been looking forward to you seeing family and friends, if you have the most minimal of symptoms, I am asking you to stay home, isolate and get a test,’ Dr Chant said.
