‘I’m a Survivor’: Don Lemon says he OWNS his actions but has NO regrets days after being unceremoniously fired from CNN as he reveals his next move on gala red carpet

  • Don Lemon, 57, revealed he’s a ‘survivor’ after being axed from CNN after nearly 20 years on the network
  • However, he told reporters while walking a red carpet that he had ‘no regrets’ and ‘owned’ his actions
  • ‘I live my life with no regrets. I did what I did and I own it, and so no I don’t look back,’ he said

Don Lemon revealed he’s a ‘survivor’ after being axed from CNN after nearly 20 years and said he ‘owns’ his actions and lives life with ‘no regrets.’

Lemon, 57, was fired from the network on Monday – the same day Fox News star Tucker Carlson was let go from his channel

Lemon said he was ‘stunned’ to learn of her termination after being a network staple for 17 years, but he told Extra TV on a Time 100 gala red carpet that he doesn’t ‘regret’ his actions.

‘I live my life with no regrets. I did what I did and I own it, and so no, I don’t look back and I don’t want to change things in the past,’ he told the outlet. ‘There are lots of things that come your way that are unexpected, but I’m a survivor. I come from strong, sturdy stock in Louisiana and a lot of people are rooting for me and who love me.

‘Life goes on. That’s behind me and we’ll see what happens in the future.’

The former This Morning co-anchor also said he’s not looking to jump straight back into work right away, rather he plans on enjoying his summer on the beach with his boyfriend and family.
