Citi FM/Citi TV donates medical supplies to Keta & Anlo health directorates

The management of Citi FM and Citi TV has generously donated medical supplies valued at thousands of Ghana cedis to the Keta and Anlo Health Directorates in the Volta Region.

This charitable initiative stems from a medical outreach conducted on Saturday, November 11, 2023, in communities heavily impacted by the Akosombo Dam spillage in the Volta Region.

The beneficiary communities include Anyako, Zenu, and Kanu in the Keta Municipality, as well as the areas of Azanu and Agorbledokui in the Anlo District.

During the handover of the supplies to the directorates, Richard Mensah, the Head of Programs at Citi FM and Citi TV, emphasized that the items are intended for the well-being of the affected individuals.

He said, “On behalf of Citi FM, Citi TV, and its generous listeners, we donate these items worth thousands of cedis to be used for the benefit of the affected victims of the Akosombo Dam spillage.”

Following the presentation of supplies to both health directorates, Dr. Emmanuel Kona, the Keta Municipal Director of Health Services, expressed gratitude, acknowledging that the donated items would significantly alleviate their challenges.

He indicated, “You have gone beyond what you are traditionally supposed to be doing, and you have now come to the area of supporting us with health services. I am so grateful, and this will go a long way to help the flood victims and other people who have suffered similar related conditions.”
