Daily Mail, an international blog, reports the story of a transgender inmate who has been transferred to a male prison after he allegedly raped a female cellmate at Central California Women’s Facility.
The 51-year-old Tremaine Deon Carroll is a biological male who identifies as a woman but has not gone under the knife for sex reassignment before he went to jail over three serious felonies that earned him a 25-year sentence.
The female inmate Carroll was accused of raping, identified as Jane Doe. She was in the shower when Caroll raped and attacked her. The female victim said she was alone at the time as they shared space with two other female inmates.
In an interview with Daily Mail, Jane Doe said Carroll’s January 2024 assault in the shower was “fully penetrative”, adding that he was her new cellmate at the time. She said she had been propositioned for sex prior by Caroll but she declined. However, Carroll had claimed she had rather raped him.
Sources also told Daily Mail that Jane Doe was admitted to the hospital following the incident, adding that she underwent a pelvic examination.
The suspect has since been transferred to the male-only Valley State Prison in Delano in the U.S.
