Black Stars touch down in South Africa with 26-man squad

The Black Stars will take on South Africa on Monday

The Black Stars of Ghana have arrived in Johannesburg, South Africa ahead of their 2022 World Cup qualifier against the Bafana Bafana on Monday, September 6, 2021 at the FnB Stadium.

Charles Kwabla Akonnor traveled with a 26-man squad for the trip leaving out the players from England and Germany who could not join the team.

The team traveled without the English and German-based nationals because South Africa is placed on the COVID-19 red list of the aforementioned countries since they will have to isolate for 10 days when they return to their respective clubs.

The players left out due to Coronavirus traveling restrictions were Daniel Amartey, Jordan Ayew, Jeffrey Schlupp, Andy Yiadom, Baba Rahman, Braydon Manu and Daniel Kofi Kyereh.

The team traveled by a chartered flight and upon arrival will lodge at the Hotel de Sky View in the City of Santon.
