Luxury fashion brand, Balenciaga, has launched a new line of overly distressed sneakers, branded “Paris Sneaker”.

Following the unveiling of the couture company’s new Paris sneaker, photographs of badly damaged, degraded shoes photographed by photographer Leopold Duchemin for the brand have gone viral and elicited varying reactions online.

According to the official site, the sneakers are made using fully-destroyed cotton and rubber with ribs all over the fabric.

Only 100 pairs of “extremely wrecked” sneakers, according to the fashion brand, will be sold for $1,850 each (N1,091,500). Non-limited edition, less roughed-up versions, on the other hand, are priced between $495 and $625 on the Balenciaga website, depending on the design.

In other news, businesswoman and lifestyle vlogger, Laura Ikeji has reacted after her sister, Linda Ikeji, splurged millions of naira on a brand new Hermes bag.

The billionaire blogger who loves the finest things of life, had taken to her official Instagram page to share photos of her newest luxury acquisition with the caption, “A beaut!”.

Her sister, Laura, reacting, told her to slow down on buying the limited edition bags because she has already bought 19 in few months.

The mum of three wrote, “Someone tell my sister to stop! Haba, 19 Hermes in how many months Kai 😂😂😂.”
