Access Bank has recorded an impressive growth in its financial performance for the first half of the year. It recorded a net interest income growth from GH¢188 million to GH¢218 million, while profit before tax grew from GH¢193 million to GH¢216 million year-on-year. The strong performance represents a 16 and 12 per cent growth in its net interest income and profit before tax respectively. A 23-year-old suspected Armed robber identified as Merit Salvation, has been arrested by the Bayelsa State Police Command, Azikoro Division. A locally-made pistol and three 9mm ammunition were recovered from the suspect whose arrest was effected in collaboration with youth leaders and vigilantes from Akaba community, in Yenagoa, the state’s capital.
