Legendary Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan has spoken about his relationship with Black Stars captain Andre Ayew.
Gyan, 37, has not officially retired from the Black Stars however, he hasn’t been active since the 2020/21 league season when he featured for Legon Cities.
The former Sunderland and Al Ain forward was stripped off the Ghana captain by former head coach James Kwasi Appiah just before the 2019 AFCON tournament.
Andre Ayew immediately took over as the new captain of the senior national team leading to rumours about ‘a frosty relationship’ between the Gyan and the former Olympique Marseille forward.
