Asamoah Gyan apologises for going haywire on Black Stars squad

Ghanaian footballer Asamoah Gyan has apologised for his usage of strong words against management of the Black Stars.

The striker took a swipe at the management of the team a short while after they dropped the 27-man squad to face Nigeria.

Asamoah Gyan’s frustration was in connection with the absence of one Mejeed Ashimeru who plays for Anderlecht in Belgium.

According to Gyan, the midfielder comes second to only Thomas Partey when it comes to midfield play in Ghana football.

He referred to the decision to omit the striker as ‘nonsense’ and called on officials to stop repeating such mistakes.

He has since deleted the tweet in which he used the strong word and apologised to the officials of the Black Stars for his words.
