ApplyEquip Oilfield Services Limited has donated a cash amount of GHS 5,000 and various items to Citi FM/Citi TV’s #Relief4LowerVolta campaign.
The Finance Manager of ApplyEquip Oilfield Services Limited, Emmanuel Boakye-Yiadom presenting the items on behalf of the company said that the gesture is “to show our love to the victims of the Akosombo dam spillage.”
Mr Boakye-Yiadom further added that “our donation does not end today, we are still monitoring the space and if the need be that we need to come back we will.”
The #Relief4LowerVolta campaign by Citi FM/Citi TV is an initiative aimed at bringing relief to people affected by the Akosombo dam spillage.
It created a platform for Corporate Ghana, organized bodies, and individuals touched by the relentless campaign to support in cash and in-kind.
Apart from the relief items, the residents also benefited from free health screening and medications.
Citi FM and Citi TV are putting up resettlement centres for some of the affected communities beginning with Torkpo and Ada.
