Anti-vax protesters march through Las Vegas and scuffle with security at Cosmopolitan hotel

Hundreds of anti-vax demonstrators marched through Las Vegas and scuffled with security outside the famous Cosmopolitan hotel as they protested against Nevada‘s new vaccine mandate for prison and health care workers.

Protesters marched through luxury hotels and shopping centers on the Las Vegas Strip Sunday night.

Social media video showed least one protester scuffling with security at the Cosmopolitan hotel, as guards appeared to drag him away from the luxury resort.

Another man can be seen throwing himself in front of the security guards, tripping one of them up.

Others held signs reading, ‘This will end when you say no,’ and, ‘F*** Joe Biden.’

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department did not immediately respond to questions about possible arrests from DailyMail.com.

On September 14, Gov. Steve Sisolak ordered COVID-19 vaccines for all Department of Corrections employees and for public health workers at institutions that serve high-risk individuals, including young people and those with intellectual disabilities.

Employees will be required to have all necessary doses by November 1.

The officers tussled with the protester, who was clutching a ‘Don’t tread on me’ flag

The roving group of hundreds of protesters also stopped at the Miracle Mile Shops in the Planet Hollywood complex, carrying American flags and signs reading, ‘F*** Joe Biden’

They were protesting a recent order by Nevada Gov. Steve Sisolak mandating COVID-19 vaccines for state prison workers and health care workers at facilities with high-risk people

Nevada is averaging 726 daily new cases as of Sunday, up from 150 on June 2, according to state health data

About 53.4 percent of the state’s population has gotten at least one dose of a vaccine, below the national average of 64.9 percent, according to the Centers for Disease Control.

The hundreds of protesters met outside the Aria Resort & Casino off the Las Vegas Strip Sunday at 7pm, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

They marched north to the Bally’s Hotel & Casino, then turned around to stop at the Fountains of Bellagio as the water crashed to Lady Gaga’s Bad Romance, the Review Journal reports.

By 8.15pm, the crowd marched into the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino and continued into the Miracle Mile Shops, part of the Planet Hollywood complex.

Video shows protesters waving countless American flags and some Gadsden ‘don’t tread on me’ banners as they walk through the mall, which houses stores like Pandora, Swarovski and Victoria’s Secret.

The protesters also enjoyed supportive honks from passing cars as they lined the street during their tour.

A man carrying a 4-foot, lime green plastic foam syringe labeled ‘EXPERIMENTAL’ said he had moved from New York to Vegas in January and that he didn’t want to see anyone lose their job over the jab.

‘I’m here because I’m pro-choice, which means I think you should be able to choose whether you get the experimental vaccine or not,’ Brock Abbe told the Review-Journal.

‘Just like if you’re pregnant you have a choice, right?’

Another man recommended Ivermectin, the ‘horse de-wormer’ that can be used by humans at lower doses as an anti-parasitical. The Food and Drug Administration says the drug is not suitable to treat COVID-19, though some studies say it shows promise.

‘The mandates don’t work, but treatments work,’ Ken Newcomer said.

Before signing the latest mandate, Gov. Sisolak, 67, had already ordered all state workers to either get the vaccine or submit to weekly testing by August 15.

The new mandate targets Department of Corrections employees because they lag behind the state’s overall vaccine rate by 10 percent, according to state data.

As of last month, 49 Nevada prisoners had died of COVID-19.

Last month, thousands of Clark County School District employees skipped work to protest a hypothetical vaccine mandate. School employees are not required to be vaccinated as of yet.

Video from September 7 shows attendees of the protest, which grew to include people from outside the school district, showing off their signs from a footbridge and walking down the stairs of a building complex.

‘Don’t force it on us. It should be our choice. My body my choice,’ Heather Taylor, a Clark County School District employee, told local station KLAS.

‘People should see that there are a lot of us that we’re not against the vaccine, we’re not against medicine.’
