Albert Amoah brings a lot of creativity and energy

Asante Kotoko head coach Prosper Ogum has praised the club’s latest acquisition, Albert Amoah, for his dynamic playing style and creative abilities on the field.

Amoah, who joined Kotoko from relegated Great Olympics, completed his transfer on a three-year deal, with the announcement made on Saturday.

“Albert is a player who brings a lot of energy and creativity to the field,” Ogum said in an interview with the club’s communications team.

“His ability to both score and set up goals makes him a versatile forward that will fit well into our tactical plans. We have been following his progress closely, and we believe he has the potential to make a significant impact at Kotoko. We are delighted to welcome him to the club.”

Amoah, known for his attacking prowess, scored five goals and provided three assists in 17 games last season. His arrival is expected to bolster Kotoko’s attack as they prepare for the 2024/25 season.

The forward has completed his mandatory medical examination and is gearing up to join his new teammates for the upcoming season. He is likely to feature in Asante Kotoko’s friendly game against Medeama next month.

Kotoko’s signing of Amoah is part of a broader strategy to strengthen their squad after a challenging 2023/24 season, where they finished sixth in the Ghana Premier League.
