Massive pay rises coming for 250,000 workers in next week’s Budget: Here’s who is winning cash boosts of up to $10,000
Around a quarter of a million aged care workers are set for a huge $10,000 a year pay increase in a Budget boost to be announced next week.
Treasurer Jim Chalmers is set to hand an award wage rise worth up to $200 a week to enrolled nurses, assistants in nursing, personal care workers, head chefs and cooks, recreational activities officers (lifestyle workers) and home care workers.
The frontline workers will be given the record salary bump to battle the cost of living crisis, and is also expected to improve equal pay statistics for women.
