Afua Asantewaa Set To Be Crowned As Queen


Today marks a significant milestone in the life of Afua Asantewaa Owusu Aduonum, better known as Afua Asantewaa is set to be crowned as a queen.

In the last few years, she has carved a niche for herself as a renowned media personality, journalist, and entrepreneur in Ghana.

Her exceptional contributions to the media and entertainment industry have garnered her immense respect and recognition, leading to her coronation.

The Breman Essiam Traditional Council, led by Odeefuo Afankwa III, the Paramount Chief of Breman Essiam Traditional Area, and Nana Efua Esiwaa II, the Paramount Queen-Mother of Breman Essiam Traditional Area, along with the Donkese Festival Planning Committee, have recognized Afua Asantewaa’s achievements and contributions to society.

They have therefore decided to honor her with a coronation, cementing her status as a significant figure within the community.

The coronation ceremony will take place today, Saturday, July 27, 2024, at 1:00 PM in the forecourt of the Chief’s palace.

This prestigious event will be attended by dignitaries, family, friends, and well-wishers who have supported Afua Asantewaa throughout her journey.

The ceremony will not only celebrate her personal achievements but also highlight her role as an inspiration to the youth and her continuous efforts to uplift and empower women in Ghana.

Afua Asantewaa is the chief executive officer of Askof Productions Ltd, a powerhouse in the Ghanaian entertainment industry. Her company is the brain behind notable events such as the Ghana Outstanding Women Awards, the Pose For Africa Models Reality Show, and Miss KiDi Ghana. These initiatives have significantly contributed to the promotion of female empowerment and the modeling industry in Ghana.

In December 2023, Afua Asantewaa made headlines when she attempted to break the Guinness World Record for the longest individual singing marathon. Demonstrating remarkable endurance and passion, she sang for an astounding 126 hours and 52 minutes.
