Revellers, decked out in fancy dress, have celebrated the bank holiday weekend by taking part in Leeds’ infamous Otley Run pub crawl.
The merry pub goers partied into the night as they enjoyed the bank holiday celebrations in the West Yorkshire city.
The Otley Run weaves its way from Headingley in the outskirts of Leeds along Headingley Lane, past the University of Leeds, and finishes at The Dry Dock Leeds in the city centre 1.5 miles away from the start.
It is a considered a right of passage for any university students studying in Leeds to take part in at least one Otley Run but anyone can take part.
With a long weekend ahead of them, the bank holiday is the perfect excuse to enjoy the Otley Run with plenty of time to recover from the inevitable hangover.

Fancy dress is considered an essential part of the pub crawl and last night’s revellers did not disappoint.

Meanwhile a man dressed as Bob the Builder was joined by three others who has seemingly missed the fancy dress memo for the pub crawl.
Other boozers looked slightly worse for wear as one person was seen lying down on the side of the pavement with a female friend dressed up as a patient close by.

The Otley run first started in 1964 but at the time it wasn’t a pub crawl for students but instead for farmers.
The Licensing Act 1964 allowed pubs in Otley to remain open for longer and farmers started travelling from pub to pub on their tractors in what was then known as the ‘Headingley mile’.
As more pubs were added to the trail it became more and more popular with students but remains a popular pub crawl for city residents looking to celebrate a birthday or who just want a good night out.
Elsewhere in the UK, Storm Lillian has battered the nation bringing with it a very wet bank holiday.
The Met Office issued a weather warning for south east of England yesterday for between 50mm and 70mm of rain.
This left festival goers drenched at Reading Festival as they braved the wet weather to see DJ Fred Again.. and the popstar Lana Del Rey.
At Reading’s sister festival Leeds the weather was slightly less wet but Strom Lillian still hit on Friday.

Videos from Leeds showed tents being blown away by the high winds and the northern music event made the decision yesterday to close three of its stages – The BBC Radio 1 stage, the Aux stage and Chevron – due to the extreme weather conditions.
Revellers at the Leeds Festival have since demanded refunds following the windy disruption to festivities.
A let-down music fan asked organisers: ‘Will there be any form of refunds for the massively disrupted travel and half the acts being cancelled?
‘Especially for those who bought single day tickets who can’t actually get into the festival before about 2pm or later now.’
Another frustrated festival-goer posted: ‘We need refunds really. Half a day and half the stages. Not cool and not safe.’
