Ghana Premier League side Bofoakwa Tano has advanced to the finals of this season’s MTN FA Cup following a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Dreams FC.
The team from the Bono Region locked horns with the defending champions today in the second semi-final match of the domestic cup competition.
In a game played at WAFA Park in Sogakope, both Bofoakwa Tano and Dreams FC put up a good fight and produced a thrilling contest that witnessed two goals.
Bofoakwa Tano equalized in the 47th minute to take the lead before a strike by Emmanuel Agyei in the 60th minute levelled the scoreline for Dreams FC.
With the 90 minutes ending in a draw, it took a goal by Bright Boakye Kyereh in extra time for Bofoakwa Tano to clinch a 2-1 win.
